The characteristic feature of Libuše Pražáková's work is, besides her honest painting, the intermingling of a high degree of personal emotional involvement and a certain amount of rationality. Maintaining this delicate balance brings a vibrant tension to her works, while at the same time managing to avoid the sentimentality that her painting might tend towards. The subjects she deals with mirror her own world, changing according to the current situation in her life, reflecting her inner emotional state. She returns cyclically to the theme of landscape and the mother-child relationship. The ways in which she processes and comments on them change. She is not afraid to experiment with various unconventional, but also quite traditional approaches to painting, format and the final shape of the work.
